painted antique tinwork frame are a bit of a mystery to me

but finding them rarer and rarer to come by--and to my eye the handwritten lettering on this one--and the content of it

and deeply carved ears

so I've divided them into suits

A trench art match safe, or case for a tool? Whatever the case, a singular thing, useful now for all sorts of things, flammable or not. I especially like the right angled incision in the copper that runs across one side, evincing a patch, though it does not seem to go all the way through. Nice weight, nice
